The threat issued by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) to disrupt a recruitment exam of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Mumbai on Sunday morning does not seem to be having any effect.
The exam is going on as scheduled across centres in the state, though the state government has stepped up the security at exam centres.
The MNS had written a letter to the SBI asking it to fill its posts with candidates from within Maharashtra.
Interestingly, the Shiv Sena has said it will protect the candidates appearing for the exams and will provide security to candidates in at least three centres in Mumbai.
