Dhaka: Shakib Al Hasan led from the front with a splendid hundred to power Bangladesh to a seven-wicket thrashing of Zimbabwe in the second One-day International here on Thursday.

Chasing 220 to win, the hosts romped home in the 30th over to level the five-match series after they lost the opener on Monday.

Hasan sent the ball to the fence twice at the end to come up with a hundred followed by the victory in the next delivery. Chibhabha who had claimed the first breakthrough for the visitors, was the victim.

Earlier, Malcolm Waller (40), Tatenda Taibu (38) and Chamunorwa Chibhabha (39) powered Zimbabwe to 219 as they got dismissed in the 48th over. Abdur Razzak claimed a fiver for the hosts. Mohammad Ashraful and Naeem Islam bagged two wickets each.
